How to Set Up Your Injector Pen Kit

Setting up the pen for first use takes under two minutes. Follow these steps to prepare the system before beginning your research protocol.

Fill the cartridge: Use one of the included measuring syringes to draw reconstituted peptide solution from your research vial. Carefully transfer the solution into the 3ml glass cartridge through the open end. The syringe gradations allow precise volume measurement during this step.

Load the cartridge into the pen: Unscrew the pen body at the midpoint. Insert the filled glass cartridge with the rubber plunger facing the dial end and the aluminium cap facing the needle end. Screw the pen body back together until firmly seated.

Attach a pen needle: Remove a 32G pen needle from its sealed packaging. Screw it onto the needle end of the pen until snug. Remove the outer cap first, then the inner cap just before use.

Prime the pen: Hold the pen with the needle pointing upward. Dial 1 to 2 units and press the dose button. A small drop of solution should appear at the needle tip, confirming that air has been expelled and the system is ready.

Dial your dose and deliver: Turn the dose dial to the required number of units. Each audible click represents one unit. The dose window displays the selected amount for visual confirmation. Press the button smoothly to deliver the full dose.
